It is time to break the chain. It is time to stand up and be counted. I know that abuse and violence don’t discriminate. All ages, genders, races, countries, and religions are affected. The One Billion Rising movement focuses on Violence against Women Globally.

To The Broken

Screams in the night

Silent cries you don’t hear

Souls begging for help

Bodies writhing in pain

Agony Tearing up flawless skin

Broken children of the night

Here’s to the Broken

The fighters and Believers

The misunderstood people

The world’s true face

The children who wonder where things went wrong.

Smiles Painted on Masks

Painfully stating “I’m Fine”

When what needs to be said is “Save Me”

Scars that want to be butterflies

Nightmares that want to be dreams

True color of the years

Here’s to the people who wonder where they belong.

to the unloved children
